To be honest I wasn't really bothered by the Olympics at the start but soon became hooked and have loved the whole sporting spectacular, cheering on athletes in a whole gamut of sports.
The Paralympic closing ceremony was amazing and way better than the normal Olympics. Loving the steam punk theme and Coldplay were awesome.
The motorbike tight rope riders were something else but the stars of the show were definitely the orchestra and the dancers.
The pixels in the stadium are a genius idea!
All the athletes have shown so much talent and bloody minded spirit in their determination to succeed no matter what.
The fireworks at the end were breathtaking and the final message brought a tear or to to my eyes.
These Olympic games have put the Great back in Great Britain... let's not lose it again.
What a summer of sport.

Cake
Had a great day today meeting fellow members of the Lancaster Clandestine Cake Club and eating lots of yummy homemade cakes, meeting fellow cakers, and to top it off it was at one of my favourite restaurants too, Maxwell's Deli.
There was a great selection to choose from, carrot, chocolate, espresso (mine), a Russian cake with custard in to name a few, and there was enough for doggie bags for us all.
I never thought I would hear t'other half say no to more cake but today he did - he had eaten either 4 or 5 slices though!
