I have ordered my greenhouse, it was nearly as exciting as when I got my Wii Fit on Friday!!! I'll talk more about my endeavours with this later. My greenhouse is an Elite Compact 6' x 4' which I have bought from a local firm just down the road from us. Can't wait for it to arrive so I can get all the plants out of the shed, and the work surface can be used again - well it can be turned in to a make shift garage for Misteryukki to work on his remote control truck and to see if he can sort out a mates.
We lost one of our Blue Orf's this weekend, it had become covered in algae due to being a bit ill. We therefore put it into isolation so that it wouldn't affect the other fish in the pond, but the silly decided commit hari kari by jumping out of the bucket before we could try and make it better. I nearly had a heart attack when I went in the shed and nearly trod on it!!! But it has given me the excuse to go and buy new ones to replace it, I have got a beautiful golden one called Pooh and a black and orange one called Tigger! They are only babies so are in a tank in the shed to be fed up before going in to the pond as the ones they will be joining are at least 18" to 2 feet, I'll try and post some pictures but they don't stay still long enough.
Does anyone want 4 Orf's, 2 blue and 2 orange, all about 18" in length, free to a good home?!
We've had our first BBQ of the year, looking forward to lots more.
I need to go and cook now, making a tomato, olive and caper sauce to have with fish, we'll have veggies and rice to accompany - yum yum!
***Sorry just been told off for not saying that my 2 new fish are Koi, to be exact they are English Koi (only becuse they were bred here) of Japanese parentage.***
***Also forgot to include in my list of carrots, purple carrots, spinach beet and cornflowers.***
